6. Epilogue

his was written a few years ago now, so just to put you in the picture of what stage I'm at now. Last April even though I was in a quiet store, I still couldn't do my job properly due to my health, which was gradually getting worse, and Parky was starting to affect the Right-Hand Side. I was given early retirement from work due to ill health, this was very hard for me to accept, especially after 14 years in the job - but accept it I did........................... eventually ! When I retired from work, YAPP&R's were looking furra co-ordinator for the group in Scotland, I put my name forward and got it, I do think ah wiz the only person to put their name forward, but that's another story. We have got a Committee together in Scotland going from strength to strength the pals I've made in the last year have proved to me that it is better to speak to people about Parky it is much more difficult to deal with everything on your own, there are so many folk you can talk to all you have to do is pick up the phone.

Talking aboot alone, am no alone anymore I have a lovely partner, Anne Walker who lives in Galashiels, we will have been going out furra year come July. God how time flies. But life is reall y rosie just now taking it a day at a time just now. The combination of giving up work and a change in medication has settled the parky doon a bit for me. The operation ? I have no regrets I'm glad I did it, yes the tremor has still disappeared in the left -side, aye it does come back now and then when under stress, but no like what it was !!!!! As I said at the start, I would be interested on any feedback on the story, good or bad let me ken, I can take it, honest. Just enmail your comments to thelaird@parkyyap.freeserve.co.uk . I look forward to hearing from you.

One more point "Always look on the Bright - Side of Life !!!!!!!!"
